Hello! We are Steve and Terry Buckingham and are glad you stopped by for a visit! Here at Fine Feathered Friends Aviary in Arkansas we strive to produce the finest companion birds possible. Being a small aviary we don't produce a lot of birds but the birds we do produce we feel are exceptional. Currently we raise Amboina Kings, Goffin Cockatoo's, Brown Throated Conures, Sun Conures, Quakers, Cockatiels, and Bourke parakeets. Whenever possible our babies are parent raised for the first 2-3 weeks. They are then hand raised with love and lavished with attention. Our babies are syringe fed and when old enough are given a large variety of foods to sample and try. Our babies are allowed to wean at their own pace. Birds are intelligent creatures and should be treated as such. They require daily attention and interaction with their human family. They also need a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and clean water every day. They need toys to keep them stimulated and happy. They need a clean environment to keep them in good health. The decision to purchase a bird as a companion is one that shouldn't be taken lightly. Some of the larger species can live to be 80+ years, It's conceivable that they could outlive you! Birds make wonderful companion's but If what you want is a low maintenance pet then perhaps a bird isn't the right companion for you.
