Catch the SPIRIT of OPTICS! OPTICS is Ordinary People Together In Catholic Spirit. The OPTICS ministry was created to bring members of St. Paschal Catholic Church together so that we can begin to see we are indeed a family, sharing the same needs, hopes, conflicts, and questions. We are interdependent.
OPTICS is a whole community catechesis program that shows us going it alone is not how we reach the heart of the Lord. We come to the Lord together, bound by one inner source: the Spirit. By assembling with each other, by celebrating the great mysteries, by sharing in communion, by breaking open the Word, we "go it together" which is how we become whole. Imagine what the assembly of St. Paschal's could accomplish if every member joined together, contributing time and talent to strengthen the "one body of Christ"!
OPTICS events are scheduled on three consecutive calendar days and are held at St. Paschal Church. This schedule includes two evenings from 6p to 10p and a Saturday morning from 8a to Noon. Because it is conducted after work week hours and in West Monroe it is more accessible and economical.
All gatherings are relaxed and begin with a meal generously prepared by members of our church family. Childcare is also available. If your interested in attending click here for a registration form. |
