In July,
our Men's Club and Ladies' Club held their Member/Guest
Tournaments. These fun events allow us to have a great time as
we show off our beautiful course. Thank you, Todd and crew,
for working so hard to help us look so good. Thank you, Men's
and Ladies' Clubs, for helping with weeding, planters, and
everything else you did. Our course looked
spectacular!
As we slide into August, our Club
Championships are underway. Good luck to all participants. I
hope your 'best swing' is with you during the tournaments. We
appreciate Kim Titus for setting up the Ladies' Club
competition and Jeff Mackay & Curt Halsan for setting up
the Men's Club competition. Don't miss the Club Championship
finals on Sunday, August 14, 2005.
Our election of
officers is coming up. In mid August a committee will be
formed to create a slate of officers. Positions available are
President, Vice President, Treasurer, and 2 Trustees.
President, Vice President, and Treasurer are 2 year terms.
Trustee is a 3 year term. If you are interested and willing to
hold any of these positions, or if you'd like to suggest
someone else, contact any board member now. Ballots will be
out in September and must be returned by the start of the
Annual Meeting on October 11, 2005, 6PM. Results will be
announced at the Annual Meeting.
Junior Golf has been
fantastic! It's nearing completion for approximately 90 young
golfers. Thank you, Mike Johnston, Chris Frey, and Karen Frey,
for setting up this outstanding program. Lots of volunteers
have helped the program run smoothly. It's a great opportunity
for seasoned golfers to share their love of golf with new
golfers. Thank you, parents, for transporting your kids to our
course so they can learn to play the game of golf. There are a
lot of nice people involved with this program! Thank you,
everyone.
There are lots of warm, sunny days left this
