September 2005

It's not the end of golf season yet. There are lots of sunny days to come and lots of golfers out enjoying our course. Our membership is almost 230! Let's remember to be considerate of others on the course by making tee times and golfing in groups of 4 or less golfers. Exceptions would be Men's Club and Ladies' Club events requiring EVERYONE on the course to be in groups of 5 or 6. These events receive permission from the Pro Shop to golf in these large groups. Thank you for your cooperation.

During 2005 we have collected a quarterly fee of $25 per membership to be used for capital projects. 2005 fees have been used to upgrade the bathrooms on #5, repair/improve course drainage/irrigation, sanding the course (in October), a new reel grinder, new cash registers, new barbecue, new range netting and clubhouse lighting. The board is considering which projects to undertake in 2006. As you can imagine, we have a never-ending list.

One last reminder, contact Doug Myhre or Erik Prestegaard if you are interested in a 2006 board position. Positions up for election are President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Trustee (2 positions). Trustee is a 3 year term. If you are interested and willing to hold any of these positions, or if you'd like to suggest someone else, contact any Doug or Erik now. Ballots will be sent out soon and must be returned by the start of the Annual Meeting on Oct. 11, 2005, 6PM. Results will be announced at the Annual Meeting.

Congratulations to our 2005 Club Champions KIM TITUS and RUSS MACKAY.

See you on the course!
