Jack & Sue Dunn
508 Saddle Dr, Big Arm, MT 59910, USA
Ok – its 2007 (aaaaarrrrgh!) – time we did the newsyletter thing again, aye?
we r just recovering from another wonderful Christmas,
we had all the girls home again, which is of course what makes it so wonderful.
not that we have ever NOT had them home for Christmas,
its just that, none of them are living at home anymore, so anytime we get them all together
is automatically wonderful, & it is becoming more of a rare event.
we r still in montana, still in big arm, still on saddle drive, off walking horse lane…
for u google.earth fans, u can c us @ 47° 46’ 19” N; 114° 20’ 11” W
(that’s me on the deck waving!) that shud also work if u plan to visit, & have a gps.
every1’s invited!

ellen, who turned 25 on feb 1st , has finished her nursing degree in our local tribal school
(actually probably the best nursing program in the state) http://www.skc.edu/
and has just started work as an RN in kalispell, at the same hospital where i have been working for the past 5 yrs. http://www.krmc.org/
so far, she loves the work, loves her new little apartment in kalispell, loves her little old pickup truck, & loves her boyfriend josh, who has been in the picture for about a year, & we are all waiting to see if he turns out to be THE ONE....
her move to kalispell means that she has had to turn in her turn-outs, ie: she cant be a polson volunteer fireman any more, which she is disappointed about, but life goes on. http://www.polsonfire.org/

laura's big news is of course her wedding oct 2006 to a great guy
(i picked him out myself!)
well - not Xactly, but i couldn't of done better if i had!
he is dylan morss - a graduate of northwestern (aog college in seattle),
& currently a youth pastor at a small 4 square church in libby mt
where they are currently living. it is about 2.5 hrs northwest of us,
which isnt toooo bad - we do get to see them occasionally.
laura finished her junior year at spu http://www.spu.edu/
and is taking a yr off after the wedding to get settled n such
& plans to return to school to finish up in the fall of '07 ('08?).
she has been working on a home-made major in political science & social geography.
she loves it, but we all wonder what she will ever find to do with it...
she is currently also doing an on-line correspondence course for medical transcriptionist.
dylan, in the mean time, is working with a mental health organization that tries to keep
track of 'at-risk' school kids in libby. its a good job for him, for now.
they are waiting on guidance for their future (who isnt?).
miriam, who is 21, is currently living
in kalispell with her new Hubby Jeff,
so she is now a "Cambre".
and is working at a regis salon in the mall - she is a licensed cosmetologist,
and also seems to love what she does. http://www.kalispellcentermall.com/
she is in many ways talented & brilliant, & now also seems quite content!
the main thing tho, is that they all love the Lord.
it just doesn't get any better than that.
amen & thank you Father.
(& no small thanks to dan & rhoda, who's fault this all is anyway!!!)

sue continues to teach in our local Christian school. its her 6th year i think, since we
finally graduated our girls, & she ran out of students here at home.
it remains unquestionably her calling, & she is amazingly effective there.
she is loved by all her students, & all their parents, & all her fellow teachers.
she started out teaching 4th & 5th grades i think, but has been moved around every year,
and this year is doing 7th-8th&9th grades! she learns the stuff right along with
(or hopefully just a bit ahead of) her students.
every time they move her up a grade, there is a revolt among the students
who thought they were going to be in her class the next year,
but find out they have to wait yet another year!
i have recently changed jobs a bit - out of the ER (after ~30 yrs on night shifts!)
and into 'home health' nursing - in other words, i make house calls.
my main task now is to keep people OUT of the hospital.
believe it or not (sometimes I have trouble), i am having more fun at this
than ever B4 in nursing - so i may stik with it a while..... who knows?
+, i get 2 spend much of my day out driving around our beautiful valley - its awesome!

my mother cobie continues to live with us here, & continues to do remarkably well.
she did manage to tip over a few months back, broke her left wrist & her left hip!
we thought that might do her in, as she is quite fragile, as far as her breathing goes,
but she handled the surgery just fine, & spent about 6 wks recouping in our local nursing home
& she is just about good as new.
actually - better, since, she got so discouraged in the nursing home one day,
that she finally let sue pray with her, & she got saved!!!
no, miracles will never cease. she is going to be 88 in april.
we had cecile down for the wedding, but
otherwise she stays in kelowna (bc).
she has a real fancy assisted living place there, with lots of good chums,
and she prefers to stay close to her doctors. her health sort of comes & goes,
better now that she got a pacemaker installed.
http://www.pac-sun.com/sandalwood_retirement_resort_kelowna_bc.html
she actually started a little band - she plays the accordion, & they entertain the
other residents weekly. also is doing a weekly bible study in her digs.
so - thats pretty much our news,
now that sue & i have an 'empty nest', we really wish we could travel again,
but of course, with my mom here, its not really empty,
& she is a tuff one to find anyone to care for, when our girls cant.
not to mention, we are usually about broke too, so that doesn't help,
but we keep hoping.
maybe some day we will make another visit to spain,
how awesome that would be!
