Hi Jack

Great to hear from you. Good as well to hear you have had contact with Patrick. We trust and pray you and your family are all well in Christ.

My wife and I have been blessed by the Lord to be able to see Patrick Vine several times in the past few years.  Patrick and I had time together last February in Spain. My wife Mirella and I spend several weeks per year in Spain.  Last winter (2006)Sylvianne stayed with us in our home near Alicante, Spain.

The Lord has had us serve Him for over 9 years in Korea, and as well I teach at some churches in Spain when not here in Korea.

We are serving as Professors at a University south from the capital city Seoul.  The Lord is having mercy on this country with alot of people getting saved.

Should you wish to view a "Sunday service" from the church here it is www.fgtv.org
This morning the Holy Spirit opened up Exodus 40, from verses 19 to 32 the phrase "JUST AS THE LORD COMMANDED MOSES" is mentioned seven times.

Then in verse 33 it says, "THUS MOSES FINISHED THE WORK."  Right to the end Moses did what the Lord commanded.  It is my prayer we would do the same right to the end with His strength.

Blessings on you all.

In HIM,

Carter and Mirella

Hi Jack
Thank you for the e-mail.

hay - i didnt realize u were workin with cho yonggi
My wife and I are serving the Lord as Professors at a University south of the capital Seoul. The growth of Christianity here is truly a miracle from God.  To teach the Bible here it is quite common a person of course have a call from God and have a minimum of a Masters Degree in Theology.  Of course just having that isn't enough, but the heart needs to be dealt with and broken before God. I thank the Lord for the time in Torremolinos.
The Lord has enabled me to write 5 books here.  Presently working on a commentary on Acts.  Presently going through chapter 16.
A few years back I was doing my dissertation for a PhD by writing a expository book on Jonah 1:6.  It was during that time the Holy Spiirt opened up the Scriptures in a dimension I couldn't imagine and I realized I knew absolutely nothing. And even the ability to realize I knew nothing was because the Lord enabled me to realize I knew nothing!

(david now is it? - usta b paul?)
Over here Koreans use Western names because their Korean names tend to be difficultr to pronounce for us "westerners."  Pastor Cho Yonggi uses the western nick name "David" now but it's only a nickname which is a common thing for Koreans to do.

u have a house in alicante?!?!?
(did u buy it from patrick?)
The Lord had us buy a "low rise" apartment about 4 years ago south from Alicante. It's 2 miles sounth along the coast from a town called Torrevieja (about 35 miles down the coast from Alicante) which you can see on Google maps.
Yes the Lord had Patrick sell the place to us, and the former owner was a Christian from England.  We praise God for His leading and mercy. The property is the Lord's and we have dedicated it to the work of the Lord in that needy country.

do u ever stop by canada anymore?
Yes we have been back to Alberta, near a city called Edmonton 5 times since serving the Lord in South Korea. My mom is in Calgary and my dad passed away last year.  Mirella's parents are both living near Edmonton.  Since both of us are committed Christians Mirella's parents, who are Catholics, have pretty much rejected us.  We are amazed, shocked and grieved when we go back to Canada to see some Christians actually believe Catholics are Christians.  Thankfully the Korean church isn't like that.  The pastors here warn the believers to stay clear of "mixing" with Catholics.

Praise the Lord we are one day closer to the day of salvation when we first believed!
In HIM,
Carter and Mirella
