Subject: Hi there Jack
It seems such a simple thing to buzz an email off to friends and family and keep them updated about things, but does it get done? No not at all !!! My apologies.

Hi Jack, Marco here….
You remember, the Marco that came as a friend of Nick Tonkin’s and ended up living at La Casa en la Roca with Mo & Elaine, Andre & Irene, etc etc.
I woke up this morning and wrote my list of things to do for the day and two items on that list read as follows:
look up on the internet Bob Mumford and Dan Delvecchio
and boy am I glad I did. I don’t know why I hadn’t done it before but there you go.
I see you have a list of email addresses and there are so many people listed there that I know but I didn’t think it was the best idea to just start emailing everyone so I thought I would start with you.
I’m not sure really what to write next as such a lot of time has passed by since I spoke to anyone at the community church, I really wouldn’t know where to start but as it happens I had planned to visit Spain this august to see some friends in Marbella along with my wife and two girls, and had a hidden agenda of looking up the church in Torremolinos to see if it was still there. I say it’s a hidden agenda because Vivi, my wife, and the girls don’t want to get dragged half way around the Costa del Sol by a husband looking to get reconnected to his spiritual birth place.
Please add my email address to the list and I when I get my website up and running (soon) I’ll send you the link so you can get a more complete up date of what I am doing , what I have done, and where I am going, …. or at least, where I think I am going.
In brief, left Spain er….1983, went to work for Crusade for World Revival (CWR), publisher of ‘Every Day With Jesus’ bible reading notes ) http://www.cwr.org.uk/
Left them in Dec 1986 and left for Dallas Tx where I studied at Christ for the Nations Institute (CFNI) for two years and then worked there for a further 1 year. http://www.cfni.org/
Went back to CWR in 1989 and worked with them until August 1998 during which time I met Vivi, got married 11/07/92
and had my first daughter Jemma Lucille, born 27/08/95. David Ried came to visit with me around about that time and stayed at our flat in Farnham.
Left CWR in August 98 and went to work for NTL, a cable TV channel which has gone through various changes since then and is now called Arqiva http://www.arqiva.com/ . I now work for the satellite media solutions department.
Daughter number 2 Lucy Mabel came along on 19/12/97.
And that is pretty much where I am now although there’s tons of other up’s and down’s in between. The latest thing I am hoping to embark soon is a new project soon called ‘Good Gracious Media’ which is a business I have founded with the help of my vicar and friend Derek Welsman which will be concentrating on providing media solutions, that are Good ( i.e Phillippians 4:8) and Gracious ( i.e a fair and honest price for services provided, that doesn’t rip people off) and also provide more time for me to concentrate on my songwriting and singing. I am recording my first album at the moment and have started to host singer/songwriter evenings under the name of ‘Uncharted Territory’.
I am hoping to counter the message given to our young kids by the media that, to have talent means you have to get up on a stage and perform ‘like a pop idol’ in front of a panel of judges who will then decide whether you have ‘talent’ or not. It’s a particular bug bear of mine and I am hoping to go into schools and tell them that true talent is individual and unique and is a gift given by God and if we turn to him, he can unlock it.
Anyway enough of my preaching. I hope this email isn’t too large and I hope I haven’t droned on too long.
Please forward this to as many that you think would like to catch up with the news.
I can’t tell you how much Dan’s ministry and the friends I made at The Evangelical Community Church mean to me, and how thankful I am that you have set up this link so that I can keep in touch with them.
Many thanks Jack
Marco
