W2XXX

My son Paul, who currently lives in the New Orleans area, holds W2XXX. His shack is mainly mobile at the moment, operating with a Yaesu FT-100D on 6m, 2m and, 70cm. Having lost his QSL collection, when his home was sunk by Hurricane Katrina, he's starting over with Grid Chasing.

Paul is active in Emergency communications. He served as my Assistant EC while living here, in Arkansas. He's currently an ARRL Official Emergency Station. Below is a picture of Paul working as net control for a recent event

Paul is the Production Coordinator for the Louisiana Superdome. The lucky bugger gets to be there for all events including Professional Football and Concerts (although he claims to be too busy to enjoy them).

His work an the Superdome provides him with a lot of interesting opportunities. In the picture below Paul is doing some aerial videoing.

Besides Amateur Radio, Paul is an avid Spontaneous Fisherman. In the New Orleans area, pot holes that have been around for years, harbor an amazing variety of aquatic life. He always carries his rod and reel with him so that whenever the urge hits, he just stops at the nearest pothole. Below is an early picture of Paul enjoying some "spontaneous" fishing.

You would think that, as busy as he is, Paul wouldn't have time for a relationship. Below is a snapshot of him and his latest conquest after a night of Bar Hopping.
