Ten Ways to Support Your Parish Family—Most are Free!

There are lots of ways that you can help to make MMOC a more vigorous parish family. The good news is that many of them take only a little time and cost little or nothing!

10.  Get into a good habit: Learn which product labels and receipts are part of our Clipping for Catholic Schools campaign, and take a moment before you toss a receipt or recycle a container. Even if you don't have children of your own in our Catholic Schools, you can help raise the next generation in our faith.

9.   Use Scrip to buy gas, groceries, and clothing. We all have to make these purchases every week, so why not earn a 3-5% rebate for your parish?

8.   Join us on the first Monday evening of each month for Praise and Graze. Mass is at 5:15 and then supper is in the gym.  You're part of the family, and we'd love to see you at the table.

7.   Some of our parish family are elderly or in poor health, so they can't come to church. You could help them feel included by visiting them. They like to play games and they have terrific stories to tell. Call Sr. Kathy to find someone that you can visit.

6.   Make sure your family photo is in the parish directory. We like seeing your face in the family album.

5.   Figure out what amount is 3% of your after-tax income and sign up for monthly, automatic donations. Even if you can only do 2% or 1%, the important thing is that you are making a sustained, stable commitment of support.

4.   Register your kids for Religious Education and talk with them often about what they are learning.

3.   Our PCCW and Men's Club are terrific ways to make friends and do good for our community. Just show up at any meeting. There are plenty of activities going on, so you can decide what interests you and how much involvement you want.

2.   Pray for your parish family. Nothing helps more than all of us praying for us all.

1.   Come to Mass. It's good for your relationship with the Lord and for us, your parish family, to see you at the Eucharistic meal.
