LOWFAT SWISS STEAK
Ingredients
| 1 lb. lean round steak, tenderized | enough flour to coat steak |
| small amount of canola oil | 1 can tomatoes |
| 1 onion, | 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce |
| 4 carrots, cut lengthwise 2 in. strips | 1 bay leaf |
| 1 tsp. garlic powder | salt & pepper to taste |
Preparation
Coat both sides of steak with flour. Heat oil in non-stick skillet & add steak. Cook until meat lightly browned. Add onion, carrots, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder and bay leaf. Cover, simmer on low 45 minutes. Turn steak after 25 minutes. Place into a casserole dish, cover & bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
